Making a couple of big assumptions: one, that you guys like us enough to give the nod, and two, that you need/don't mind tanks :)
That said ...
Which race would you roll a warrior? As I'll be losing my orky status, I'll need to choose a new race. My initial thought is Draenei, as it is distinctly monstrous and has the biggest shoulderpads (and everyone knows the shoulders are the seat of tanking). I've been skimming the warcraft forums, risking IQ points left and right and clawing my eyes occasionally at the posts, and it seems the consensus is that the blue calamari are the bottom of the ladder for warrior tanking, and that gnomes/humans are top ... perhaps even night elves with their racial dodge bonus. From those of you far more experienced than I about Alliance races (I'm a bit of a career monster, er, orc) what choice would you make? As a side effect, thanks to Makawee's kindness I sport a hog to ride, so which looks the best on that? Might seem like a trivial question, but I'm nothing if not concerned about style :P
Also, this is an interim as every damn character that can be will be race changed to Worgen in Cataclysm. Because I really like chasing cars ...

well, IMO from a role play side, I would go human then since you plan to change to worgen.... plus they have everyman themselves and that is nice.

Human. My first warrior was human. I left him behind when I moved to Eitrigg. My current warrior is a night elf. I just like the dancing.I got a fever, and the only prescription...is more cowbell! -

Hmm, and it would help with the ICC rep grind (can't help but metagame a bit in my choices). I'm also going to miss the free expertise on axes, but the maces and swords look sweet. Hmm ...Tug on the chintacle ... you know you want to.

humans currently have the best racials, but I would expect all that to get changed with the next expansion, so play what you enjoy. In the end, it doesn't really matter, and if your racial bonuses are what makes or breaks an instance, well, you are doing it wrong :-)Emtushua is BiS

Trying to talk myself into human, but Draenei just looks so good ... and I never did make a good human :P

To me human look horrible, as well as in game but do have nice lil bonus for tanking...

As much as I want to powermax it out, I'll kick myself if I don't go with what looks the best (to me). So I'm tanking Emtushua's advice and gimping myself by becoming a space goat :P
