    Seriously...

I continuously ran all of the SM instances last night on my little baby warrior, Havoki. In the queue for no more than 5 minutes. (potential this is faster for me than dps since I am queueing/leveling as a tank).

    Features:
    1. Port straight to the instance! When done, drop group and you port back to where you were before!
    2. Insane experience gains!
    3. There are so many people that are lfg that I have no doubt that I will even get to run some less-common instance like Maraudon, et al., when I get to that level!
    4. You don't get stuck with someone healing that doesn't want to heal, or stuck with someone tanking that doesn't want/know how to tank! This means most parties are already set up for success compared to trying to get a group together before the impLFG when you had to beg people to do a role that they weren't specced/geared for.
    5. You land lots of great blue quality gear, plus plenty of green items (I could see this as amazing for leveling enchanting).

That is all I've got, but I love it and think everyone should love it as much, or more, than I do!

I hadn't thought of this, and its a great point to make. But how many people gear for tanking/healing while leveling? I imagine alot more from now on.Shivan, Enk, Shivalla . . .

I leveled Sememe as Prot because it was much easier to get groups and because it made AoE farming easier since I could snag 4 mobs in highly populated areas and whittle them down without much competition from randoms.intolerant, arrogant, selfish, and self-righteous

Well, tbh, my warrior has all the heirlooms, so that helps (shoulders, chest, 1H mace, gun, 2 trinkets), but even though I still get critted, it's still not crushing-blow/one-shot-the-tank stuff. My guess is that the instances are toned down... or something, tbh i'm not sure why being critted isn't that big a deal, but for whatever reason it's not.

I think that speccing makes a bigger deal. Having the avoidance via talents helps me a lot.

Anyway, all that to say that if you have a toon to level, you have to give it a try; it's fantastic.

When you use the LFG/LFD tool you get a nice buff to damage, healing, rep and XP, I forget what it's called. I used the LFG tool on the first night to run the new Frozen Hall instances and also to run some randoms. It totally rocks! I have to lol everytime I see someone advertise "DPS LFG PoS" in the LookingForGroup channel because they are clearly missing out.

The fact that you can port out and in of an instance through the tool to grab regeants or repairs is a very nice feature.Tolismir (hunter) @ Armory | Aleryn (ShadowPriest) | Arlequin (Warlock) | Serrafina (Mage) | Velindrys (Horde)

It is a great system, I am actually surprised they didnt put this out earlier. It helps a ton in retention in ppl that are just starting the game, I mean If i was to just start this game it would be so hard to lvl imo. You dont know anyone, 75% of the ppl that are lvling have a toon that is lvl 80 and just want to get that toon to the max lvl. This is a great way to keep the old instances alive, to help ppl learn early on grp ethics and how to play their roles. Really a neat feature that is long over due.

Our first hunter tonight was not terrible at all. Not great, but he put out a fish feast, and we beat things eventually, so whatever. Our second one never broke 1k dps, had a pet that was leveling up as we fought, was gaming the gear score using 2 dire brew trinkets, and was getting a run for his money on dps by Thujo, our healer....

I then logged onto Stabetha to do a quick random daily, waited 20 minutes, ported into Occulus to see the party disbanding, leaving me with 2 other dps.... sighEmtushua is BiS

I've had nothing but positive experiences with the new LFD tool. Whether it's a random group or a random dungeon, it's been wonderful. I was able to accumulate somewhere around 70+ triumph badges yesterday between the two raids, the weekly raid quest and the random dungeon. Kaboom! I'm actually thinking about relearning how to play my alts (it's been a little while) so that I can test out leveling them in instances.

Patch 3.3 has been the greatest thing to happen to WoW since the release of 1.0.Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet... yup.

Ah, but where's the fun in all that? Everything is so predetermined and random. What happened to meeting someone while questing and then working to put a PuG together, or getting together a guild group to chain Heroics? There's not much advantage to it now that you can press a button and be in a perfectly-matched group in five minutes.

It breaks the illusion of grandeur — how many people are going to miss the experience of actually walking in through the entrance to an instance? The flight on the dragonkin down to the Caverns of Time gives it context, and makes the instances better. Compare that to just being dumped at the beginning of Black Morass.

Also, back in the day, say when 60 was the top level, you could actually find people who ran dungeons in the old world on a fairly regular basis. Now many people are just finding "run throughs" with higher level better geared toons until they get to Northrend. Think of this as an opportunity for people to begin actually experiencing what it is like to run a 5 man through with a group at level, which many people had stopped experiencing.

I may just have to level Ardee who has been rather fun to play with solo thus far, and see how she is in a dungeon. Although I suppose I should get a non-tank pet for her.

Yeah, I actually read back over that after I wrote it and laughed at the paradox. What I was trying to say is that it is predetermined in the sense that you're going to have a full, well-composed group with a damage buff, and random in that you don't know (or care) what dungeon you're going to run or who you're going to run it with.

Leveled to 40 on Eitrigg, then transferred to an equally mouth-breathy server.

I should say I've actually really enjoyed what I've seen of the LFD tool so far, but this thread was far too one-sided.Valens at The Armory

I'm in love with the new LFD tool as well, but I've also run afoul of more than a few jerks. The old internet dickwad theory: normal person + keyboard + anonynimity = total jerk. People know they'll likely never interact with someone from another server again, so it's open season on shooting your mouth off. Still, way more good experiences than bad for me as well.beautiful music forever

I have had a lot of fun with the system so far too, a very efficient means to get 4pt9. Seems like if you get lucky with a good tank and healer you can really rack up the emblems of triumph.

I'm in agreement about the LFG tool. I was able to spec a new toon as I wanted to, not spec the 'most effective way' then switch over later. It's nice being able to account for points in the right spec, to focus on what you love to do right out of the gate. Yes you get a few a**hats, but that's the way of the game - overall I'm in LOVE with it.The world must know that punting is a SIN...

As a tank I think the LFG tool is the best thing since sliced bread :D

BTW, you can still get guild runs together to chain heroics (I do it all the time) but now (1) You get an extra two triumph badges for every dungeon (2) you still get the LFG buff to damage and healing and (3) you can redo dungeons you've been locked out of as the LFG tool seems to ignore dungeon locks if you run enough of it. Yes, I know #3 from experience as I went from 1 piece of T9 to all four, some offspec gear, and the rings in a couple of days of 3.3 hitting :PTug on the chintacle ... you know you want to.

Yeah they expressly have said that LFG can place you in a dungeon you've already run, it just weights the ones you are locked to in a way that they are less likely to come up...but then an RNG is an RNG even weighted and they can come up. I need to start running Raffie regularly to finish out her heals set and start building an offset. (Not to mention the daily frost would help with my current Primordial Saronite shortage.)

I'm level 75 (almost 76) on my warrior now, and still loving the LFD tool (started using it at around level 30). Great xp, get Wintergrasp buff for xp, plus shards, and once you hit Northrend dungeons, you start getting badges of triumph for one random dungeon that you run per day.

    Loving it, still!
