I don't have a full copy of Excel, so Landsoul's doesn't work for me (no macros and who knows what other functionality is disabled), and Rawr always does strange things like switch my meta gem or not let me wear leather. I like MaxDPS's interface so I'm hoping it can be trusted.

Each episode begins with Matt Trakker being informed of a crisis, and his computer selecting the appropriate MASK agents for the mission at hand. As the computer states their names, we see each agent being alerted and leaving whatever situation they happen to be involved in.. including:

Lead guitar at a rock concert. Gives his guitar to bass player (so the guy is now holding two stringed instruments) and runs away.

Guy feeding his animals at a zoo. Watch goes off, he throws an alligator a carrot, and runs away.

Sumo wrestler. Nuff said. Runs away.

Professor at what we can assume is an ivy league college. Watch goes off during lecture. Stops talking, runs away.

Every episode has a new runaway scene for each dude summoned. No stock footage.

Also, been watching "Centurions" (created by the late great Jack Kirby btw)

Wonderfully insensitive, racist, and Micheal Bell (Duke from GI Joe) voices the native american addon dude. (every 80's show adds some ethnic spice after a season or so of success.) Best part? The apache dude, John Thunder, is also japanese, evidently. All about ninjitsu and bushido. Also, his weapon system (Brave Arrow) is nothing more than a huge mechanized bow-and-arrow backpack. Makes me wish they had an irish dude added named 'wethairdogsmelly'.

To get things started, the first mmo that I played (I lie, second) was Final Fantasy 11. 2 mechanics from this game that I loved where the subclass system and the skill chains.

1. subclass. On the same toon, you would have 2 jobs... your main with X level cap, and your subjob, at 1/2 of the level cap. It made for fun combinations, and it also meant that while still playing your main, you'd switch out to the subjob to level it. A fun way to not be locked into any one job, yet still play a different job.

2. skill chains. This was a way to get players to work together. By using different people's skills, all the players in the group would establish a sequence which would add extra damage on the target. It was a nice way to intermix skills and make you think about more than just your rotation.

I ran my anti virus software, deleted some old chunky gaming files(Delta Force), did a disk cleanup, and attempted a disk defrag. Whilst engaged in the latter the Laptop screen suddenly went blue and froze.

The error message was

" Problem detected , engaged in auto shutdown to prevent damage."

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Followed by the usual
Id this is the first time, reboot your pc - which i did,again everything lkoaded up fine, all the desktop icons and the familiar backgrouns, then crash, same blue screen.

I then read the rest of the comments

- if you've installed new hardware of software disable. No new stuff has been added.


- Disable Bios memory options such as Cashing or Shadowing!!! EH ok, wtf. Press F8 to access on booting up. Tried that, no joy.

On the third and final boot, after putting in my usual password, the laptop now fails to even boot up but goes straight to the blue crash screen.

Anyone have any ideas as to the possible problem?

Laptop is 8 years old so should I now be using it as a frisbie?

I left after the DPS continually ran up to the ghouls right when they were about to explode.

Next try was for VH. Managed to get through that one even with 2 low dps hunters although I did accidently send a mt to the guild saying "Run TOWARDS the tank if you pull aggro." "You tell them!" the guild replied back. ;)

Time to switch to druid. First group was UK, easy one, right? Tank is a newly minted 80 DK with 22k hitpoints. I have more than that, lol. He started off by
running up and killing the skeletons in the room while the rest of us scratched our heads. Without any heals, they were kicking his ass until I zapped one with a
moonfire. He pulls first group and with constant heals he lives. We go round the corner to the next group, the 5 pull, and hard as I tried no way could I keep him
alive. We disbanded after that.

Next try, Old Kingdom, I went into a group that had wiped on the first pull. As we were crossing the first room, mage pulls the 2 spider pats, tank doesn't see and pulls first group. Wiped. Wiped a second time when no one would kill the spell flingers first , though I specifically mentioned in chat that they HAVE to go down first or it's a wipe. Kill first boss without any deaths and move on to the big room with the packs of mobs. The tank pulls EVERY mob in the room, which would have been cool, except the highest DPS in the group (not counting the tank) was doing a maximum of 1200 DPS, with the DK doing a whopping 795. I leave after this wipe.

Ok, one more try and I'm going to log and go knit instead. I get Oculus -.- . Oh joy, a tank with 45k hitpoints! Not like you really need it in Oculus though, lol. At
least he knew what he was doing and just zerged down the corridor to the portal with me and the rogue keeping up np. The mage and shadow priest were struggling to keep up, and were pretty much all run, but by that time I just wanted to get the daily done as fast as I could and it looked like the tank felt the same way! I'll bet he had some stories of his own to tell.

My question is, where are these people coming from? It's like all of a sudden I get in groups where everyone has forgotten how to play! They stand in poo, fire, won't assist the tank, and flee in the opposite direction when they DO end up pulling aggro. Had a very weird day today, as it relates to my career, and as happens with such things I started to take a look at every facet of my life. And I realized that I essentially have no free time. I work, come home, log on, and then go to bed. And I'm having as much fun as I've ever had in the game, and that's in no small part to being part of this very awesome community. And of course, there's not a man with a gun to my head who breaks into my place each night and FORCES me to play. Still, in taking stock of my life before May of 2008, and after, it's apparent that as much as one can be "addicted" to a video game, that's the road I'm heading down.

I miss having days open, y'know? I miss not wanting to spend all weekend at home so I can get some gaming in. I miss movies. Bookstores. Walking around the mall (shut up, these are my hobbies!). And I miss not feeling like I'm "hurting" myself if I don't sign on every day. I always said I'd walk away if the game ever felt like a job; the game is starting to feel like a second life, and that's a whole lot worse.

I am going to miss the HELL out of you guys. Some of you, I have become fairly close with; all of you color my evenings and weekends, and not having that around is going to be a bit of a hole in my spirit. But I'll get through, and I'm sure you all will -- you'll all still have each other, for one. And who knows? Nothing lasts forever. I don't plan on coming back to the game, but circumstances change and you never know in this world.

There are probably a million things I'm not thinking to say, so I'll just say thank you, all of you, for letting me become a part of this community for the past year, because it is an experience I will never forget.

I'll be on tonight, maybe tomorrow, tidying things up before I uninstall. If there is anything an officer/admin type would like me to do, please holler at me online or in this thread. Also, I'll check it for a few more days (I think authenticated members can see public threads?), so if anyone needs to get a hold of me, this is the way to do it.

Of particular interest here:

• Guild talents and guild currency have been scrapped. Guilds will automatically receive perks and bonuses for leveling up (there are 25 levels), but there will be no guild talent trees. Boss kills, winning battlegrounds and similar activities will accrue XP for your guild.
• In place of a currency system, guilds will gain rewards by completing guild achievements. Once a reward has been unlocked, you will purchase it with gold. Rewards include unique tabards, mounts (carrying your guild's battle standard) and heirloom items. Once a guild has earned an achievement, it will never go away and the rewards it bestows will always be available. The achievements will be very comprehensive, covering even classic/legacy raids. To earn a guild achievement in a raid, a 10-man raid must have 7 players from the same guild. A 25-man raid needs 20.
• Players will be able to gain reputation with their guild, much like you would with a group like the Argent Crusade. You gain reputation for participating in dungeons, battlegrounds or completing guild achievements. The top-end guild rewards will require Exalted reputation and is on a per-character basis. You'll need to grind up your guild reputation even on your alts. You do not lose all of your reputation immediately after leaving a guild or being kicked. If you're quitting (or being kicked) for a joke, you won't lose all of your hard work
• The guild UI has been overhauled. The UI will display your guild's XP bar, an upcoming events section with a feed of your guild's calendar events, an RSS feed of your guild's recent events (boss kills, rated battleground wins, etc.), your character's guild reputation bar and your recently gained perk.
• The guild roster will contain profession information for each player, and you can view their recipes even when they are not online.

I'm also bummed that Path of the Titans is out:

• Archaeology
• Path of the Titans has been removed, so Archaeology's focus will be on showing off the lore of the game and learning Azeroth's history. Players will find two types of artifacts: Lore artifacts are one, which teach you about the world. The second will be cosmetic/vanity rewards. This profession will be entirely optional.

Just been perusing the guild bank tabs and it seems that Adriya has been hacked recently....multiple withdrawals across non restricted bank tabs, some involving 20+ items.

Hacking of the guild's bank seems to be becoming an ever increasing occurrence and I think it's time we moved to:

1) Mandatory authenticators ( or a new classification of member for those that dont have them which restricts their withdrawal capability to 3 items max per char, per day.

Additionally

2) Change the restrictions on at least two other tabs to "deposit only". The current 5 or 6 with unlimited access, and only one for "deposit only" is past its sell by date.
